Rescaldos de uma guerra

Já se observam as conseqüências internacionais da guerra em Gaza. Não que tais manifestações afetarão os rumos tomados pelo governo Netanyahu, mas, a seguir o atual rumo, será continua a erosão da imagem do Estado Judeu.

The ambassadors of Britain, France, Italy, and Spain, and the deputy ambassador of Germany delivered the written protest to National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen during a meeting in the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, and stressed that Israel’s declaration of nearly 4,000 dunams (1,000 acres) of land in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem, as state land had greatly angered the countries of the European Union.

The White House has instructed the Pentagon and the U.S. military to put on hold a transfer of Hellfire missiles that Israel had requested during its recent operation in the Gaza Strip, the Wall Street Journal reports.

According to the report, during Israel's Operation Protective Edge, White House officials were dismayed to discover how little influence they wield over the topic of Israeli arms shipments, against the backdrop of the U.S. government's unhappiness with the widespread damage inflicted upon Palestinian civilians.

Esta coluna espera que, com a ajuda da diáspora Judaica, haja suficiente pressão para que Israel e Palestina cheguem à Paz através de dois Estados soberanos e respeitosos de seu vizinho, se necessário com  supervisão norte americana. Enquanto houver o apoio incondicional ao atual governo Israelense, que se observa em importantes segmentos dos Judeus dispersados, o Knesset (parlamento) não será demovido de sua expansão continua nas “terras bíblicas”, com a conseqüente rebeldia Palestina.
